Northern Rock SVR Overpayment

Please could anyone advise if Northern Rock allow overpayments on an SVR mortgage.
Are there any charges & how can you make the payments?

You are probably best phoning them to make sure, but I thought most (if not all), mortgages on the SVR were eligible for overpayments without penalty.

I know my NR mtge is eligible for making unlimited overpayments and I'm on a fxd rate. I just can't pay it all off unless I want to incur the ERC.

If you want a regular overpayment you can get them to amend your d/d, or you can contact them for s/o details - the s/c are different so be careful.

Alternatively you can phone them up and they will take payments using a debit card. My bank doesn't charge for this, but best make sure that yours won't and that they are happy for you to be making larger than normal payments so that your card isn't blocked.
