We currently have our mortgage with Accord and would like to port our Mortgage but would also like to borrow an extra £15,000.This would mean we would have a £68,000 mortgage on a house valued at £90,000 Could this be done on our income. I earn £20,000 my wife earns £10,000 per annum.

Income looks fine, you will need to ring Accord to see if they are happy to approve the mortgage.0

thanks for the quick reply Andy,do you think they could give us a decision in principle, rather than going through the application process,as it could be quite costly to get rejected for the extra money (hips ect). Our main worry is that mortgages were easier to get 3yrs ago and although we have not had credit problems for many yrs we feel they may reject us as criteria is a lot tighter now.0
