A slight parting in the clouds

Options
Hi Guys

I have been off the boards for along time and I always know I'm in really bad form when i stay away. The better I start to feel about life the more I come on. Weird isn't it, it should be the other way round. Ok those of you who don't remember me I worked really hard and became debt free in 2007. But I lost my job at Christmas this year and not only has all my savings gone but I have debt again. I have been in the total dumps. I am doing a degree part time at night and in 3rd year. But I failed two out of the 5 exams and have the repeats this weekend. So I genuinely should not be here. But this is the first time in so long the cloud has lifted and I can talk about things. I have also managed to pile on the weight :eek:and so all in all its been an awful year.

But the light at the end of the tunnel is I am getting married in October 2010. I'm not engaged yet, as BF's sister got engaged the weekend we were supposed to two weeks ago. So I thought it would be a nice gesture not to steal her thunder and leave it for a few months. However I have booked the hotel and the priest, as I live in a place where everything gets booked up years in advance. So I'm super excited about that. This has seemed to lift me out of what ever dark place I was occupying and I seems much happier

Ok the point of my diary. Today I went to weight watchers. I have exactly a stone and a half to lose. God its scary standing in that queue with all the other poor souls about to be humiliated. Well it was my very first time there so I felt worse. I'm sure it will get better overtime. I also opened a little credit union account I only put £10 in, that I found lying around the house, down the sofa, in the car etc. But its a start. And I got offered a temp job in three weeks time for 2 months. So hopefully I can start whacking that off my debt and start contributing to the mortgage again. Poor BF has been carrying the can for too long.

So i would like you to help me stay on track. If you could i would be so grateful. I feel so good after writing this and guess what else I walked the dog.:j:j

I'm in fire today, lol.

Well better go do some study and not fail the repeats.

Thank for listening

icka

Thanks Smlsave I have also realised the if you are on a diet it is cheaper than if not. So I will have to really think about what I am putting in my mouth from a points and a pennies point of view. So no more Mint feasts, OMG what will I do with out them.
