I've made them before, just waiting for the fabric to arrive. I need both types. Scrunched knot pre tied and basic untied. Didn't know boys were into this type of thing for proms!!0

Well they are getting into black tie type do's. Also cummerbands (not sure I spelt that right)., and of course bow ties. I used to make loads of them, now I come to think of it!
Where do you get your materials from? By post by the sounds of it.
I have been looking at so many links from the good people on here. My computer memory is just about full. It keeps warning me.
I must have massess of links added to my favourites now.
What I need to get is Elastic!. Then there are lots of things that I could make out of the fabrics/garments that I have lurking.
Everything I get just has to be delivered for a few more days, then hopefully I will have the car back and be able to go and get them myself!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Cravats were delivered. The reply is "They are brill". So I am happy.
I managed to get some elastic and jeans thread in Burford sewing shop when I was out for a drive in BF's car at the weekend.
My brakes have been done, and I shall get my car back when I go home tomorrow.
Then I need to get it through its MOT so that I can start to take things to the post office, etc, and start my little craft business. as is suggested by a few MSE'rs .When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Well, good old dad sent me one of his original cravats for authenticity.
Patterns has worked out very wonderfully. Eventhough I like the scrunchie, I do prefer the traditional Mr Darcy type.

Wonerful. I agree with you, I prefer the traditional style. (Also a lot easier to make then the scrunchie type.).
I will have to adapt the pattern I downloaded, as it was not symetrical.!
Then perhaps a few out or the satins left over from other jobs can be advertised on the favourite auction site?
Currently dismantaling pair of dalmation curtains, ready to re create other things. (Obviously not a cravat!!):rotfl::rotfl:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
