mobile contract

can i keep my mobile contract when going br? renewed my contract a couple of months ago , does it have to be included in the debts or can i just keep paying it? it is very cheap!thanks

    If you don't owe anymore than your standard contract (i.e. no arrears) then you should be able to keep it and don't need to mention it on your forms as a debt (just as an expense)

    I asked this question in my OR interview and was told it was fine to keep mine.

    thanks thats great ,I thought it might have to be included , then we would have to get pay as you go .

    Nah, I kept hold of my contract all through my BR and actually renewed it before discharge.


    Occasionally the phone company might want to cancel it but if you've no arrears then there's no need to tell them ;)

    Yeah, shoudl be ok as above. Although mine was work related and was very high so he questioned the amount I wanted to set aside.

    Then I got a work mob and all was ok!

    My wife ditched hers to avoid a bill and some arrears and went pay as you go to manage what we pay better.
