Have asked OH to have a look on Newport Rd in Cardiff on his way home from work

Update: Nothing in Cardiff and no plans of having a Christmas sale soon either :(

I'm off to check out Merry Hell (Hill) later so will let you know what the sale is like or if its on

Thanks for the heads up OP
  • I checked the Matalan in Inverness, when i had Sunday off. They had some Christmas stock, which they were/are selling dirt cheap. Had a box of Christmas tree decorations for 40p or 50p (originally around the £4/£5 price mark). But it was stock which they had from Christmas last year. And had some Christmas trees on sale as well. But I resisted not to buy any of it though. :D

Forgot to mention, they also had Disney Christmas cards reduced from £2 to 50p (ideal for little girls to send to classmates), and Christmas lights for £1.

The girl said she still had more to bring down, so will check again tomorrow

I went to Filton's store yesterday evening. Not much left, but I managed to get a nice travel wallet marked down from £18 to £4.50 that I thought would be a good present for my SIL, even better it went through the till at £2 !! Not much christmas stuff except black christmas trees that were marked as £4. They had lots of halloween paper plates/cups etc in the 75% off sale, if anyone in Bristol is wanting those, sorry can't remember the price.
