Has anybody managed to create a cheese flavour by not having to actually purchase products such as Parmazano or Nutritional Yeast Flakes for instance?
Or,who is the cheapest seller of Nutritional Yeast Flakes (bulk?).
Thanks.

thriftlady,I'd like to make my own non-dairy "cheese" at home when I do not have any dairy cheese in stock. I wondered whether there was another way; maybe cheaper way to do this other than having to buy the named brands above?
Thanks.0 -
'Got some Nutritional Yeast Flakes afterall. Anyhow,I'd still be interested to hear if anybody has created a "cheese" flavour from their own ingredients without actually buying dairy cheese or vegan products.0

Hi there,
I've seen a book available on amazon called 'The Ultimate Uncheese Cookbook' by Joanne Stepaniak. It sounds like what you might be after, can't vouch for it personally as I haven't read it but it has received pretty good reviews. Also, do a google on the author, maybe she has a blog or web page where she has some sample recipes.

Thanks star2007,I've heard about this book and seen some of her recipes and also recipes created by others via internet searches. Hence will continue to source the ingredients at the lowest cost.0
