Understanding my credit file

Hey guys, i hope you can help me understand my credit file! I have obtained my credit file from Equifax and there are some defaults on it and there are some ccjs. Ok lets start with the defaults 1st:

Since all these accs were in defalut from 2004 do they disappear in 11/2010?

I then have 2 ccjs against me as well:

1st - Northampton Bulk Center - £198 07/02/2006
2nd - As above - £1109 - 21/10/2004

Yes, the defaults should drop completely off your file, along with all details of the accounts in question, 6 years (11/2010) after the default date, whether they're settled or not.
You should give the CRA up to a month after they're due to drop off to update their records.
I believe it's the same criteria for the CCJs, although I'm not 100% certain of this.

is it worth my while trying to sort out those ccjs and defaults now? I mean i have one year left to go until they sort themselves out and don't really want to stir the hornets nest if i don't have to! I really don't have the means to deal with the defaults just yet nor the ccjs...

Personally, if they are going to disappear in a year and you are not being hassled about them, I would leave it. Like you said, you may just be stirring up trouble for yourself that you cannot deal with anyway.

Obviously it means that you may find it harder to obtain new credit until these have gone, but if you can't afford to sort these out at the moment then I doubt you can afford to be obtaining more credit anyway.

Of course this is just my opinion but it does seem silly to put yourself in the brown sticky stuff if you don't have to :)
