Hi everyone,

I hope this is in the right place :o

I have a friend who has been very good to me in the past few months. I wouldn't have gotten through my life without his help which has involved looking after me when I was in hospital, and again now (i've got swine flu :(), helping my self esteem and really broadening my horizons in life.

I'm moving back down south so won't be around him much longer, and I really want him to have something special that will remind him of how much he means to me. I have already bought him a card so that I can write him a letter type thing, along with a banksy book (he has a degree in art history so loves stuff like that).

He likes chocolate and wine! But I want it to be something slightly more sentimental that he can keep? I also enclosed a photo of us together but didn't put it in a frame because he lives with his ex (complicated and nothing to do with me!) so I didn't want to make it seem like he had to display it.

He enjoys travelling, speaks italian and likes the arts. Doesn't really use cookbooks and I wouldn't know where to start with buying anything italian...

Would appreciate any help! :T

Oh and my budget is about £30

Take him out to dinner and say ''dinners on me as a small token of my appreciation for all you have done for me over the months''

Then have a really good night out, especially as your moving away. A good night out will always be remembered. Wherever he is and what ever he is doing he'll remember your night out and how much his help was appreciated.
You dont have to go out, out it could be a takeaway.

Thats what we do when we want to say thank you to friends when they've really done us a massive favour.

Chocolates and wine will soon be forgotten, memories last a lifetime.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
