Unenforceable Interest on Mortgage

forget it, I have been reading this website for years and have found lots of usefull advise, for which I thank everyone.
I ask a question and I get ridiculed...I am not some sort of silly teenager and I manage my money very well. I have no debt apart from my mortgage.
I have not paid money to this company I was just looking for information regarding the company to form part of my research into them, which I have found on other websites who have been much more helpfull.
Thanks all for your "help"0 -
Basically it's £149 down the drain!0

There are a number of these companies springing up, claiming they can cancel debts, get back missold PP insurance etc.
All of them have to be registered as claims managers, but IMHO there is scant regulation. Many of them IMHO use shoddy sales tactics and false promises to try and get business.
Client Connection Ltd were formed 12 months ago, and probably don't have a long track record of sucessful cases. But if they are like others there will be a few newly registered forum members who pop up and claim they had a £150k mortgage cancelled just like that :rotfl:
Essentially for many, you pay them a fee, fill in a questionairre, and they check the paperwork. If there is some missold PPI or similar they will work to reclaim it, BUT will take a large cut of the money reclaimed. If there is nothing to claim, you've lost the fee.
In true MSE spirit if you have genuinely been misold something, you can use these forums to find out. You can just as easily check these things, rather than paying someone £149 to check them for you. If you have no PPI or arrears management fees, then it's extremely unlikely there is anything to claim back.
See this thread for details of another company:

Any company that cold calls out of the blue trying to sell you something should be treated with a disdain they richly deserve.
YMMV - Rufus.0 -
I would not trust a cold caller either personally. If they know you are owed £100's then they wouldn't ask for an upfront fee so I would avoid them.0
