Repossession hearing after BR

Hello all,

I am now BR for just over a week..

I have a repossession hearing due next week for a house I own (I use the word own loosely).. It is not the house I live in..

I have not yet responded to the court petition and am not sure whether or not I should now that I am BR, do I respond stating I am BR or do I just inform the OR and leave it to them...

Thanks,,

The court is not interested wether you are BR or not, the hearing is to see wether to give the property back to the mortgage company or not. Your OR wont be interested in it either, I presume the OR knows about the property though?
You dont have to go to court if you dont want to, it may make things run smoother if you go along and say you are not contesting it.

    Thanks nervousmother,

yes, the OR knows about it and knows the hearing is taking place as I put it on my BR forms..

Would it be ok to write to them and say I am not contesting it, as I am working that day and can't really afford to take the day off..

No harm in writing, you can let the judge know if you want that you have gone BR that way he wont feel sorry for you and put the hearing off lol.

Try not to worrry too much
