Hello everyone
My son is going to a recruitment day tomorrow at Starbucks.
I would really appreciate any applications from and interview tips please with regard to working at Starbucks.

I worked at Starbucks for a few months in Canada. Things may be different over here, but good customer service is important, so they will probably ask questons relating to that. Teamwork is also important.
There is also some cleaning involved in the job, so they might ask if he minds that.
As for making the drinks, he can learn all that, so I think his work attitude and customer service skills are more important.
In terms of actually working there, I know there are lot of criticisms to be made about Starbucks in general, but I really enjoyed it, I really felt valued, and my manager was lovely.
I hated coffee before I started there, but now I love it. They make you try all the different coffees so you can advise customers (although this could just be a Canada thing - they take their coffee way more seriously than we do! Some of the other team members even completed a course to become a 'coffee master' which entitled them to wear black aprons instead of green!)0 -
