Work & Overpay. . .

I started a new job about 3/4 months ago & since working at the company from the second month into the job, I have been overpaid every month so far  .. At first I thought it was a one time glitch in payroll or something but the company I work for is a multi-national organisation with loads of divisions, locations, & staff 10,000+ ...
I am paid monthly I invoice the company every month as a self-employed contractor, so I'm not paid PAYE by pay-roll I just invoice monthly, & accounts take care of the rest.
I genuinely thought it was a mistake when I was paid twice as you can imagine! I’m literally stunned I’ve been paid twice monthly!
It’s an odd one really, I sit about 3 feet from accounts, & payroll but to be frank I’m not bringing it to their attention, I don’t how it’s happened but I’m just gonna roll with it. I think from what I’ve heard ‘through the office grapevine’ there has been a number of lay-offs in accounts, & payroll over past few months it would seem finance is in a right state!
Roll on the good-times I guess, money, money, lol.
Hope I don't have to pay it back! :rotfl:

I think you will find once they spot it, they will want it back, and sicne you have posted on here you can hardly play dumb - they may ditch you too - I suggest you own up.0 -

Nah, the odds of them checking this forum, reading thru thousands of threads + message and being from payroll for company I work for and piecing it together is as slim as being paid twice a month lol :rotfl:I suggest you own up.
Nah, won't be doing that any-time! Mistakes happen it's not my fault. I only posted on here because I thought it might have happened to other people and wanted to see what they did, etc. :T:cool:0 -
If it's a job you value, you should definitely own up. When they do figure it out, it would not look good that you decided to keep quiet about it. It may be their mistake, but this would certainly show them how dishonest you are.0

The impression I get is that you have posted just to boast. Perhaps you could have some consideration for the staff that have lost their jobs?
I do agree with the others, if the mistake is not spotted before it will be highlighted either at the end of the financial year or when the company is audited. They will then be well within their rights to terminate your employment, as well as taking action against you to reclaim the monies owed.Gone ... or have I?0 -
