RBS have instructed surveyors...??

I was in your position last week with Natwest (RBS in all but name).

Applied for mortgage just over 2 weeks ago in branch with P60 etc... Phoned to chase early last week and advisor said it had all been approved and they were just getting the valuation done so it does seem that all underwriting is done by them before the valuation. (they took the fee last tuesday)

Got a call from the mortgage centre yesterday to say that the valuation had gone through OK and to confirm some details so that they could put my mortgage offer in the post.

Did you get a text saying they would give a decision in 5 working days like me? According to the branch advisor they never achieve this timescale...

They havent text me yet as the survey will be done tomorrow, what further information did they need for the offer to be posted to you? I'm wondering if they'll need it for me.

My offer arrived in the post yesterday.

They just wanted to confirm all of the details such as loan amount, solicitors details etc... so that they were all correct in the offer. It was nothing to worry about.
