i made a new account today on the littlewoods website

a mail i checked at 8 pm which was sent to me near 2pm saying that my credit application was unsuccessful : \ : (


placed quiet a few orders before reading that email and have gotten a lot of 'order confirmation' emails.

do u think they will accept my orders?

That seems strange, I haven't heard that senario before, perhaps give them a ring, if the orders have email confirmations use that as a starting point when telephoning. good luck

I opened a account 2 weeks ago and ordered a bed for my daughter. Received a order confirmation email saying it would be delivered on the 12th april. When it got to around 3pm on that day and it still hadnt turned up I phoned littlewoods to ask if it was definatley coming. They told me even though Id received confirmation emails my credit application hadnt gone through as they prefare first orders over a certain value to be placed by phone.

They took all my details again on the phone, told me to wait 30 minutes and then place the order again. Fingers crossed it will arrive on the 19th.

What differecne it makes giving details by phone I dont know as they only took my name, address and date of birth and they even told me they already has these from my lxdirect account.

If your credit application was unsuccessful then they will not be honouring any of your orders, even if you have got 'Order Received' confirmation e-mails. You will not be able to shop on Littlewoods without an account.

Applying for a credit account on Littlewoods is not much different from applying for a credit card. You need to be 18 or over. A credit check will be done - this includes confirming your name and address on the electoral roll and looking at your previous credit history. Each time a check is run, it is recorded on your file and multiple credit applications may adversely affect your credit rating.

It may be easier to shop on Littlewood's sister company LX Direct and pay up front.

yh but i dont think the codes posted on the other littlewoods thread would be used wen paying by card?

ye I used codes on threads from here paid by credit card discounts applied and I used 2 codes both went through
