Well, a lovely no spend day today! Could have spent £1.80 on the bus to go pick my car up from the station but as it wasn't raining thought I woud walk there- took me 50 minutes and I was exhausted, but felt good about saving the money. :j

Then came home, watched some DVD's and then went to the library to pick up my new books, post my DVD's back to Tesco and then came home and made a healthy dinner. Housemate tried to tempt me to takeaway and wine but I kept my resolve and said no.

Been on my cross trainer tonight, so carrying on with the getting healthy and fit for free mission!

Hoping for a no spend day tomorrow. Need a birthday card for my best friend but think i have some spare ones somewhere in my drawer.

Right, shower, glass of wine and TV time!

  • Well, haven't been here for a while!

Saturday: Low spend day, just bought some kebab skewers for a BBQ, A bottle of pepsi max (tesco coupon for 40p off) and a mango.

Sunday: Just spent £5.57 in Aldi on fruit and veg for the week. Such a bargain!

    Monday: No spend day- woohoo!

Tuesday: Starbucks £2.29. I know. I haven't had one for weeks and I needed a pep me up. Bought my colleague lunch for £5.70.

Wednesday: My mum came up to London for lunch and I treated her to lunch- she only lives off her pension. £11.98.

Thursday: No spend day so far. Dinner out tonight though.

Planning for the rest of the weekend to be no or low spend.

Today I put an extra £40 into my car loan fund as I only have 3 counselling sessions this month. Also found out that as I've been in my job a year I get a payrise that kicks in next month, so I'll be able to put £320 into my savings a month. Woohoo!

Got a whole pile of stuff photographed, just need to put on ebay, think that is a weekend task!

  • I have been very bad  and not been updating this. I try so har to not spend money on things and have had a few no spend days but I always end up spending money on crap, this month has been no exception. I do have money left in my account that will still be there come payday, so an extra £25 will go in my savings, and I only had 2 counselling sessions this month so the extra £80.00 went in savings too. I think I am doing better but I still think I could be paying more into my savings. Am going to go thru my statement again for August and see exactly what happened.

I really want to be stricter but then I also want to have the things I like and enjoy- Its so hard, isn't it- you want to pay off your debts but also want to enjoy life.

Anyway, After I've been through my statement for august I will update and see how bad I really was for august.

Roll on september, hope I can be better! :(
