"COMPULSORY lessons in money management are to be provided by one of Scotland's leading fee-paying schools from this autumn – in response to demand from worried pupils."
This is quite interesting and hopefully help some kids get their heads round money before they go off to be students etc.
Although I think money would be saved if they just got every kid onto this site once a week to read up on all the MSE news and tips!:money:

Sounds like a good idea to me... maybe the government should look at something similar country wide, not at just at that one private school.0

I am always going on about this. I sooo wish someone had taught me about money management before I left school.
My first lesson in money managing was the lovely Halifax (DIE!!!!!!!!) sending me a credit card when I was 17 and every time I went over the limit they increased it for me AND I only had to pay back about £5 a month.
BLOODY BRILLIANT!!! <

I really think it would be a very valuable lesson. Especially as lots of people leave education at 16 and go straight into earning money like I did. Instead of going crazy and wasting it all they could be using some of it to build for their future and wouldn't be in the mess some of us are in now.
I think this should be part of the national-curriculum and available to all childre.
