Blockbuster signup in store.

Blockbuster say you can either bring along a credit/debit card to sign up or two pieces of ID e.g. utility bill and driving licence. If you do the latter do you pay by cash/card as and when you rent DVDs or do you still have to register a card?

Also, can anyone confirm that you just pay for the rentals and that there aren't any hidden service charges? And finally how long that you're allowed a DVD for without getting any late fees?

Thanks in advance.

They wont charge anything to your credit card unless you take it with you when you rent a DVD, its kinda like when you rent a car; they want to know you wont just disappear without them having a way to trace you/recover the cost of the DVD. The two forms of ID just prove where you live again its just so they can chase you if don't return a DVD.
You pay for each rental when you pick them up. As for how long you can keep the DVD depends on the title, they range from 1/2/3/7 days. Don't worry though its all clearly marked on the shelf in store and if you're still not sure just as the counter assistant when you pay when it has to be back by.

Yep, the card is as ID only, just to help prove who you are. Payment is made every time you rent a film/game however you choose.

If you use Nectar or Tesco Clubcard, do look into their deals.

Rental varies, but you should be told every thime you rent on when it's due back. Cut off is always 10pm for the day it's due, and fines have to be paid before you can rent again.
