lOOKING FOR MORTGAGES but have CCCS debt management plan!

Hi, I am hoping someone might be able to help me. I am looking to sell my house to move area due to recently having a baby, we do not really want to increase our loan but currently only have about 8% equity. My husband and I are on both on "ok" wages and would be borrowing less than 3 x our salary however I suffered financial hardship and am now and a debt management plan with the cccs and have been for the past year.

What is the liklyhood of us being offered a new mortgage and were am I best starting???

Thanks in advance

Pretty low I would've thought, unless you're downsizing signficantly and so have a high LTV. From what you say this doesn't sound likely. What about renting while getting rid of your debt and then building up a deposit?
  • Hi

You could get a mortgage with Platform (high rates) but they are an adverse lender. Ok to have CCj's and defaults. seek an whole of market independent financial adviser. They will be able to find you a mortgage.

Ignore the Platform suggestion and ignore "they will be able to find you a mortgage". Speak to a broker but its going to be highly unlikely due to your credit history. Get a copy of your credit reports too.
