Saw an OAP in Tescos looking at the annuals @ £5 each(all of which were in waterstones) told her they had them there for 99p...she was off like a shot ;D

I bought Beano and Dandy annual, just out of nostalgia. I must say that I had forgotten how absolutely awful they are. Or have they got worse?

Even the kids are unimpressed by them.

I normally hang on to books, but these are going off to the charity shop ASAP.

I went to the store in Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow on Tuesday as I was looking for an Oor Wullie Annual but they were sold out. I did buy the Beano, Dandy, Beano & Dandy looking back to the Fifties and X-Men for my sons so they were happy. I then checked the store in Argyle Street and they were also sold out of the Oor Wullie. I also checked W H Smiths and they didn't have any either - Anybody any idea where in Glasgow I can get an Oor Wullie Annual?

they didn't have those here in waterstones (Dundee), but as it's home of DC Thompsons if you're really struggling I'm pretty sure I could find one to post out
