chicken in the SC

Does anyone know how I cook a chicken in the slow cooker please?

Do I add stock? veg? How long should I leave it in there for?

    I put a 1.3kg chicken on some little metal quiche tarts I have (rolled up foil would do the job I think) , a lemon up it's backside with a bit of rosemary, then put it on for 3 hours on high which does the job nicely. It doesn't really go brown so I guess you could pre-brown it in a frying pan but you don't notice once it is served up and it is lovely and moist.
