Uno:Uno by Russell Hobbs £9.99 at Comet in store

Options
In store only at Comet the Russell Hobbs UNO:UNO Pod Coffee machine is £9.99. It is still £49.99 in Argos and £54 at tesco.
I had one and they are great but as the pods are so hard to get I got the Senseo instead. BUT at £9.99 you cant go wrong especially as there is a pod convertor you can buy for £4.99 here

Then you can get any commerial pods here

I have a question about these pod machines. I like white coffee andhave a problem with filter coffee machines because the coffee isn't hot enough once you've put the milk in.

I know these pod machines are faster - do you get really hot coffee?

  • Good deal - thanks.

Bought one at 9.99 at 3 packs of 18 pods - 18 pack pods were 2.99 each which I thought was reasonable.

    Mark.

We too had a Uno:Uno,but took it back as soon as we realised the pods were only available to buy over the net, (not too much hassle I suppose) we bought a senseo instead. They are very nice and once you have the above mentioned convertor I guess the Uno:Uno would be just as good.

As for the milk, we are the same, but found (and I know this sounds naff and old fashioined) Coffeemate milk powder to be really great, it gives the coffee a really smooth creamy taste without over doing it. You can add fresh milk and as long as it is just a drop the coffee is still perfectly hot.

Anyone who hasn't tried the Coffeemate route ought to give it a try, I wouldn't use fresh milk in my Senseo again :)

BTW we have also brewed tea in our Senseo machine using the round type teabags, quite good, although I am not a big tea drinker ;)

  • Thanks to scouser (cheap women, lol no such thing ;) ) and ian, for your links.
I managed to get last one in Hudds ( coffemaker that is ;) ) :D

    Agree about coffeemate

Er... douzer, website says you can get the coffee in Sainsbury's and maybe Woolies. Also Comet wanted to sell me some, so no doubt they will end up discounting them to get rid, sometime soon ;D

Thats the way to do it......... ;) Scat

  • yippee got a uno for 9.99 at comet Fosse Park today

It was the last one in area I am told

I did try and buy one in Kettering but was told they could not sell the display model because then they would not have one for customers to see

which is a bit daft as they do not know when if at all they are getting any more

so the display model is to show customers what they cannot buy

I also got the 24.99 tefal steamer as well!

many thanks to you all for posting about these
