charging orders??

            Hi,
Your mortgage interest payment s should begin 13 weks after you first claimed JSA.
Back to your original question re charging orders. Charging orders change an unsecured debt in to a secured one. It should not be possible to be given a charging order unless you do not pay in accordance with the CCJ instalment order but in practice this happens often.
The full amount of the debt covered by the CCJ would be charged to your house plus, often, statutory interest added at 8% per year.
It is important to remember that a charging order is the only CCJ enforcement method that SURVIVES BR. So if you are going BR it is important to do so before any final charging order is granted.
