Im trying to get my eldest more interested in making her own meal planner and possible help to make some of it. She's been going through my cookery books and although will eat most of what i make if it doesnt sound appealing or have a cool name she will push it around her plate...so far we only have Funky fahjita chicken wraps ...

i used to make my children (four boys) 'smiley pie' by using the left over pastry bits to make a smiley face. They had turned their nose up at pie until I did this. One day one of them said he was fed up with smiley pie, he wanted 'sad pie' so I just turned the mouth upside down made them laugh, and they ate it. My boys also liked a bacon joint with either split peas or dried marrowfat peas (soaked overnight)which I do in slow cooker, so how about heavenly ham with golden peas or posh peas or cannonball peas.0
