Geordie Bear - What is B&M
Brugusblue- Unfortunately Ocado do not deliver here.
AKH43- Neither sainsburys or asda deliver here. I have looked in the nearest sainsburys but it was all dolmio, lloyd grossman or sainsburys own brand.
I'm wondering if this is a regional thing as I am also in East Anglia like Look After The Pennies.
Have alos tried Budgens & co-op
Works for me at home and work. You may not have relevent software on your computer. Anyhow it won't help you find it. Was a funny cartoon that mentions Ragu at the end.0 -
I've got some - £5 and it's yours.0

never turn a bargain /freebie down you just never know when you need it0 -
My local Asda had some today but there did not seem to be alot of it. I have to admit I prefer Ragu to Dolmio. It has a better taste to it and doesnt taste as synthetic.0

I have noticed they only seem to get it in if theres an offer, usually Bogof or something. I always buy LOADS then, so it lasts at least a couple of months.0

Found the following re where all the Ragu has gone from thegrocer.co.uk - (Spa have got an offer on at the moment by the way) -
Tesco has delisted Unilever's Knorr Ragu range while other retailers are understood to be sourcing it from the grey market after the supplier asked for a 21.4% price increase.
Tesco said the brand was removed following a range review in June. Talks were now taking place between the two parties regarding Ragu's future, it added.
Another retail source said supermarkets had been angered by Unilever's price rise demands. "On Ragu it has been trying to put through cost of goods increases of 21.4% where on our own-label cooking sauces we have seen costs decrease," she said. "It's not that it's justified by commodity rises or increases in cost of production."
Unilever recently demanded double-digit price hikes on its 100 top brands, with the largest on Ragu.
A Unilever spokesman declined to comment on why Tesco had ditched the brand.0 -
Funny how supermarkets are happy* to continue the pretence of tripling the cost of tinned tomatoes but are protesting more reasonable increases to tomato sauces.
(* Yes, I know, 'special' offers are paid by producers not supermarkets.)0 -
I saw it in a little Mace today for £1.99. probably not a big seller in a small shop. First time i've seen it in ages. Not seen it in Tesco or Sainsbugs. I prefer Ragu over Dolmio too.0

Kim,
Not sure if you are interested in the Ragu or just observing the massive increase in tomato prices, but I got several jars of Ragu in Yeovil Lidls a couple of weeks back. 60p per jar. Bargain.
