I wanna external HD 40Gb +

Hello,
Can anyone advice on a reasonably priced external HD to attach to my laptop?
My laptop is about 4 years old but still is running reasonably well: was high-spec when I bought it so it *just* meets my requirements for programs - but now that I've purchased a 60Gb iPod, the 20Gb HD on the laptop only has 3% space left.
I'd be looking for at least an additional 40Gb, however if there are disks with greater capacity and reasonably priced, then all the better.
Thanks in advance. :money:
