- I posted this in the 'in my home' section originally but thought the NI board would be a good place as well! I need a new electric cooker pretty soon as mine is on the way out.
Looking for the following:
max 55cm wide
colour - silver/anything but white
energy grade B or higher
double oven
fan oven if poss
I've seen some Beko cookers for about £300 but don't know this make at all. I live in Belfast by the way so need to be able to get it either here or near the border (Armagh/Enniskillen ideally as OH would be able to go and get it).

Hi! can't really help re cooker make but just some info. I have spent the last 3 weeks looking for a dishwasher, have looked internet, big stores etc. Most of the mainland companies were charging big money for delivery to NI, or else didn't ship here at all. I also tried the local big stores such as Currys, Harvey Norman, Sam's etc and found the attitude of the staff really unhelpful. Most had no idea what they were selling, no ideas on spec, ratings etc and had absolutely no interest in helping me find the best model for my requirements. I had done quite a bit of online research comparison of models etc and knew more than the staff.
My advice is do a bit of looking around online, get the exact measurements that you need and be sure in your own mind of your spec then have a look for best models online, this should help when you visit the local stores.
Good luck with your search.0 -
We have a 'Stoves' oven that we got from Currys and a matching gas hob and we're very happy with both of them. Stoves also sell cookers under the brand name 'New World' that are cheaper. I would imagine they'd be just as good.
I'm assuming it's a slot in type cooker you're looking for. Dixons stock this one (that seems to tick all your boxes) for £342.64:

You can nearly always get free delivery and they are pretty quick. We got a fridge and freezer from them delivered free to Belfast within a week.Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
Is there no local independent stores you could try? I always find they are the most helpful for this type of purchase, and unlike Currys, the staff know what they're talking about.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

I would try Edenwood just at the end of the A1 on the left hand side, there phone number is 028 302 62599. They are in the same yard as hennings steel.
They all ways have good prices on items and will deliver free of charge, they have a good showroom as well.0 -
