RBS Intermediary services

Hi all

Before i pester my friend who is my broker.....how long does RBS intermediary take to process apps, on a 75% Ltv etc?

Given up with Abbey although told them i shall go else where its just going to cost me my redempton penalty, but i can pay it £4650.....not that i want to as they are being so slow i have no choice. So Shabbey Abbey no more!!!

Any brokers know how the RBS system works?

Mine is taking some time but some of it has been my fault... the offer in principal means nothing, I got the OIP no problem but when the formal app went in and an underwriter looked at it he declined it. After some pleading they agreed to reconsider providing I sent them a copy of my file.

I had a CCJ on there from three years ago (shows how good the OIP was!) which I didn't even know about (don't ask) but I paid it off straight away and they have now approved the application... file is currently being checked by FSA and hope to instruct surveyor early this week.

But, after having the carrot dangled once already i'm not going to count my chickens until I have exchanged/completed.

I guess it just depends on how complicated your case is and how good your broker is at putting the pressure on (but not too much!) I know that my broker speaks to the underwriter on a daily basis to chase the file and to keep him on side.
