I don't know what's open on Easter Day or what your food preferences are, but my favourite place for a good-value meal in Central London (and the reason I thought of it is that I usually go on Sundays) is a noodle bar called Soba, on Soho Street (off Oxford Street - nearest tube Tottenham Court Road). All day Sunday is happy hour, with any main course available for £4.

If you look on the Local Moneysaving: England board there have been a number of threads in the past about where best to get a tasty cheap meal in Central London.

  • Hi,

    Would suggest trying https://www.toptable.co.uk.

I have used it twice before and it has worked both times, once in Leicester and once in London. It is centred around London restaurants.
You basically register your details and look for a restaurant and can search by cuisine, area etc.

I think they have an arrangement with the restaurants so may keep aside tables. You basically book by time and turn up. I was a bit dubious on my first booking and phoned ahead...and it had booked my table ok.

You earn points as well and get about 400 per visit and when you hit about 1600 or 1200 get a free meal.

    Hope this helps!
