Can't install disk

There's something there so can only assume its the drive. Maybe the cover wasn't fixed on very well. I've no idea to be honest. It seems to slot back on ok but still can't get the whole thing to come out.

The drive door will not open if "the volume is mounted". Open My Computer, right click the drive and select Eject. If it still won't open then restart your machine, and while it is still going through the start up routine and before Windows loads press eject on the drive. If it doesn't open at this point then it is faulty.

I'll give that a try. It seems odd though as it opened before when I had to install Microsoft Office free trial.

Just tried that and a box came up saying
'An error occured while ejecting cd/dvd drive'

Or something like that.........wouldn't eject it anyway.

Looks like I'll have to clear everything off that I've saved, go back to Comet with the lap top and start all over again. I dread the thought.
