  • Sorry, not a serious post but I do love their name.

Couple of things made me laff (in a worried type way) about MB being the administrators of my IPA.

I received a letter from them a good few weeks back with the details of the IPA, and a number of payment slips ready for me to pay by Cheque or Debit Card (LOL'd a fiar bit over this - especially as I was fortunate enough to be able to keep my Abbey basic account which has cash in.out, DD's and a cash card only)

I set up a standing order as per page 500 [or whatver it was] of their pack, but set the payment date to 1st of the month. This meant it didn't clear with them until the 4th.

They really really do not like this. If paying by SO, pay them on the 28th (or 3 days prior to the payment due date) to allow time to clear for the 1st (or whenever your due date is). They are very quick to demand payment and threaten to contact your employers and take the amount direct from your salary if it's not with them for the agreed monthly payment dates

I wouldn't have thought it makes much difference to them what date of the month you pat it as long as its the same date each month.
