Strange request

Might sound very strange but does anyone know where I can purchase a scaffolding pole from? I bought a pole for my washing line and concreted it into the ground but it is terrible and flimsy. Husband wants a scaffolding pole to make it more rigid but don't know where we can purchase one from.

Warrington, Cheshire. There are workmen around at the moment working for the council who have got scaffolding up. Don't know if I have the nerve to ask them if they will sell me one for a few pounds.;)

It's a pity your not in or around Dundee as i have an old tv / cb radio aerial pole which would do the job perfectly for you, so it might be worthwhile looking around to see if anyone has one of those lurking in their back gardens or garages which dont get used.

Another thought is one of the many freecycle groups on the web where you can post a request for what you want and if anyone has one they will donate it to you free of charge often delivering it just to free up the space.

Just google freecylcle groups + your area.
