Lightweight good quality pots and pans.

Is my title an oxymoron?
I have back and neck problems and want to replace my pot and pan set, but it needs to be light because I cannot manage anything too heavy.
Any suggestions?

This page may help (outdated and American centric but some good general pointers):

I like the suggestion of double handled cookware best. With a conventional pan there is a lot of leverage from where you hold the handle to where the weight is. If you hold a pan by 2 handles the weight is so much more balanced it feels a fraction of the weight.
A couple of the Meyer Infinite Circulon pans have 2 handles. Their products are hard anodised so as light as non-stick saucepans (i.e. not super light but nowhere near the weight of cast iron cookware) but the coating is so tough they last a lot longer and are even ovenproof. I got mine from Move Cookshop as the cheapest and quick delivery: https://www.movecookshop.co.uk
Perhaps also give Lakeland a call as they can give lots of advice, although I do find them a touch pricey (not rip off just that they sell at rrp). They also do a range of smaller cookware to cook meals for one which should be lighter if that size is suitable for you.0 -
Thank you Paul, some great pointers here. I'll look into the range.Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0
