Warehouse for recycled goods

Options
A while ago I picked up a leaflet for a place in Sheffield that gets donations of all sorts of stuff, some from industry, great for craft bits and just interesting and unusual bits for people like me that like to tinker. Anyway I can't remember what it's called or where it is and can't find anything on google about it, can anybody help me out? sorry if it's in the wrong place.
It's definitely not definately!

Not being in the Yorkshire area I don't have any personal knowledge of what's available but I do remember reading about a couple of these schemes. Have you checked out this one:-

    http://www.sheffield-scrapstore.co.uk

It says "We are a registered charity (started in 1980) that provides resources for anyone working with children. We collect clean and safe materials from industry, which are suitable for childrens' art, craft and play activities. The materials given to us are sold to our members by the bucketful at low cost.
We also stock art and craft items along with a range of toys and pocket money items which are suitable for prizes at fund raising events."

It's a great idea, hope you find something suitable.

If it is a Scrapstore (which is a national movement) there's likely to be a membership fee - can't remember what evidence you have to provide from when I was involved with a playscheme.

Individuals such as childminders can join, and groups with no paid workers like mother-and-toddler groups as well as more formal organisations.

Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

If its the scrap store on Nursery St? then it was really only art/craft type materials, unless its changed since I worked there (which is entirely possible as it was a while ago). It used to be run by Sheff City Council recreation dept.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

I found this site with Google - lists loads of locations - will check out my local one and report back...

It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)
