I had the parcel turn up today. I refused it, of course. The delivery bloke had no issues with it, he just asked me to write 'Delivery Refused' on the clipboard, and he asked why I was refusing it (I told him Dell !!!!!!ed me about so I cancelled and they wouldn't refund the money). He said he would put it down at something like 'goods not required'.

I await the next thread titled "Dell refused refund - said I havent sent back the parcel"

But as no one has signed for delivery, that will be Dells/delivery agents problem, not the OPs.

I know that, you know that, the op knows that, but since when have being in the right made things go swimmingly?

There is always a first time for everything, even for Dell :D

Nah.... I can feel a world of hurt for the op trying to get his cash back.

Maybe I am spending too much time here and need to get out for a walk in the park and feed the ducks. I am getting cynical.
On second thoughts I will probably fall over in the park and get attacked by the ducks.
On third thoughts COMPOOOOOOO£££££££££.
I can sue the duck owner and the groundsman for not removing every wet leaf....
Happy Days.

Some good news today. This morning, I had an email from Consumer Direct (I emailed them on the 30th and updated them with what's been happening). They said that I should send a second letter, and if I had not heard anything within 14 days, consider taking it to County Court.

This worried me, because I knew if it came to that, I wouldn't have the confidence to go through with it. So I went on google, to try and find some email addresses for higher-ups at Dell. I found a blog which said everyone's email address at Dell is in the format firstname_lastname@dell.com

With that information in mind, I went to Dell's page, and found their corporate bumf page. I got the name of the Vice President of Something-Or-Other, and sent him an email. I also sent the same email (including all previous emails I sent to that Manager), via their online support form.

I went to my cousin's house, and when I came back I had 3 emails and a message on my answer phone. They all said pretty much the same thing, so I'll just post 1 of them here:
This is with reference to the email sent by you, that has reached Dell. I tried reaching you at XXXXX XXXXXX, and left a voicemail as you were unavailable. Please provide an alternate phone number and the best time to reach you, I would be glad to address your concerns. Meanwhile we would like tokeepyou informed that refund of £42.71 is being processed and I would be following up on the refund and will keep you informed.
I am looking forward to a response from you at the earliest.
So, good news eh? It only took 17 days, 2 emails to Consumer Direct, Trading Standards involvement, 2 emails to a manager and 1 to a Vice President!
