hi just a quick one, i work as a carer and would like to know if there is a certain amount of hours you should have off between starting and finishing a shift for example over the last weekend from friday to monday i was starting work at 7.30am having a break at 1.30 starting again at 4 and finishing at 10pm to start again at 7.30am the next day. i only ask because as you can imagine it leaves you very tired and i have to drive to calls and i am afraid i may have an accident due to being so tired

google Working Time Directions and you may find an answer there, however, certain sectors have opted out eg. hospitality and the NHS.
Also look on the https://www.directgov.uk website as you will find the answer that you seek.0
