PDF now received. £34.66 including trial ink cartridges.

  • Remember these printers are cheap to start with.

The cartridges are chipped forcing you to buy the manufacturers over priced inkjet cartridges.

In the long run it is worth paying more for a printer that will take refilled cartridges.

If you do loads of printing you will pay loads more over the long term buying one of these.

printer arrived today and I must say as an all in 1 it saves space.
also beats my old black widow 4830 pro hands down for scanning.
now all i need is compatible cartridges to prove john-boi wrong although i dont think this will happen.
    thanks to sam58
    Nick.

:)Mine arrived today too and I am well pleased for the price!
Usually use epsom, but decided for space an all in one would be great and kids could use the other.

As far as refills go, I dont do much printing , but have been looking for cheapest prices...although I dont think dell are too bad (cheaper through the small business side) and have found only refill kits available which dont really interest me! I also found this quote on a site:

Dell printers are currently manufactured by Lexmark, though Dell will soon be doing this themselves. Although right now Dell printers are Lexmark printers, they are fixed so that only branded Dell cartridges will fit because the cartridges have a different cap to the standard Lexmark ones. You also have to buy your replacement cartridges direct from Dell, who do not allow other companies to sell them.

The site did sell refill kits and remanufactured cartridges, But all these were higher than Dells price anyway.

    Thanks to original poster! :)
