My case has gone to Bolton ... Good or Bad?

Hi all
My case was in Falkirk, and after some concerns I had it moved to Sensitive Team in Dudley. Eventually they managed to get me a few payments through. However, my ex seems to be too switched on and is able to through the proverbially spanner in the works at will.
After a DEO was imposed, the ex has been on long term sick with her new employer, so doesn't get sick pay ... apparently!
For some reason, the case got stuck in Dudley in the "long term technical stuck queue", and was subsequently passed to Bolton's "Qaulity checking Department" ... who thinks up these names?
Anyway ... having been fobbed off for a number of weeks now by them, I am wondering if anyone else has had dealings with this Bolton lot, and how did you get on?
I can't help but feel that this is going to be a long winded spiral by them. Apparently, once a case goes to Bolton, it never goes anywhere else again ... sounds ominous!!
Thanks in advance

Bolton.... My case is there, because its clerical. Computer said no and after a 6 month wait and weekly phone calls it ended up first at Stockport for a clerical assessment and once that was sorted Bolton. Had very mixed results from the call centre there, stock answer seems to be we have '12 weeks to deal with this', regardless of what you ask them. Have had several frustrated conversations with them as they either never read your notes, dont understand your notes or just dont have the experience to make any sense of them. Currently 10 weeks in to the 12 weeks they have to do a change of circs, have been assured that I will hear within the 12 weeks but I won't hold my breath.
Good luck with yours. Advice is always take the persons name you talk to and detailed notes of what is said. Comes in handy!

Im with Bolton, I dealt with Sharon then Natalie, then Pauline the list goes on and all seems to say one thing and do another... Whenever you talk to them try and record it (some mobiles do), always keep letters received and sent and emails too... Any lot of the CSA are (ar*ehol*s)0 -
Hiya
My case was at Bolton for 2 years and they did nothing, I wrote a letter of complaint via MP and it was transfrered back to Falkirk where in 2 weeks had all the calcs and whatnots done. When I called there national enquiry line they mentioned that bolton wasn't the best office to deal with as they had heard many stories about lack of work, calls, letters etc. xxx
Dont let it go on too long with them. xThink it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol0 -
Getting your MP involved gets things sorted quicker. The CSA don't like MP letters. There seems to be a lot of technical errors these days that mean Bolton and Falkirk are both busy.0

Ok ... I asked if it was Good or Bad ... and it sounds like a resounding Not Good!
I have been at the CSA for three years or so, and am adept at collecting times and names of calls I make to them. Have also gone down the MP route too. I was just wondering how much slack I should give Bolton before I adopt another tact, and it seems clear to me, that it should be no time at all.
So ... will submit the customary email of complaint, before anyone starts telling me to wait fot that '12 weeks to deal with this' nonsense.
Thanks ...:wave:0 -
Hi Enemes
I had submitted an email complaint first but as they didnt bother to folow it up I went straight to the mp.
When I quieried why Bolton hadn't responded to the complain themselves I was told they didnt have a complaints department (they do as Falkirk confirmed this) dont be fobbed off with them though, Ihave the CE postal address if you need it xThink it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol0 -
I have a 14 year old daughter (who has never ever seen her real dad), and i have only ever had 2 letters off the CSA in all those years, telling me im not getting anything. How do u work that one out.0

I have looked at the complaints page on the CSA site, and their appears to be no link to Bolton from there.

How did you manage to email Bolton? Since Bolton is not on the list of offices to complain to, who do I email, the office closest to Bolton, or the one closest to me?
I emailed a complaint to Falkirk a year or so ago, and the complaint was resolved effectively, to some point, in that it moved the case on, only to end up where I am now!
Thanx again ...:wave:0 -

Hiya
I emailed Falkirk and they pass the complain on to Bolton. They were supposed to follow up the compaint with a telephone call with 10 working day but after 1 month I still didn't get a call so I took further steps as mentioned above. Hope you get it sorted hun but Bolton are really bad.
They did actually call me the day after it was past to back to Falkirk to ask if Ihad any questions :rotfl: Surfice to say it was an interesting conversation lolThink it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol0
