Hi everybody,
I need to buy a black suit for few professional job interviews…Need to spend as less as possible. The suit needs to be new, smart, elegant and trendy. Any idea where I can start look for?
Many thanks.

Have a look at this store and see if there is a branch near to you.
I purchase all my suits from them and they have recently started to sell Womans business wear.
The male suits are good value and the prices start small right up to the gold room designer big name items - Clicky0 -
Next outlet stores. Bought one today for self same purpose. Jacket £24.99 instead of £69.99, got a skirt for £12.99 instead of £39.99 and trousers for £12.50 instead of £35.99
Suit is black with self stripe , very modern, well cut & lined.
They had loads of different types and for once had stuff in the stock room, I asked for a size they did not have out and they had it in the back.
Loads of outlet stores all over the place.0 -

Hello i just got professional black suit from new look for fifty pounds its gorgeous and iam very tall and it fits perfect . I know it is a lot of money but i hav had five interviews since then and wore it every time . Its black with a fine pinstripe not obvios though. Hope i was some help.0 -
On a style note, I would just like to warn against picking black. Not only does it wash out the complexions of 98% of skin tones, its also a very, very difficult colour to wear anything with. White~ you look like a waitress, Colour~ you look cheap.
You'd be much better off going for a grey or a brown (your colouring dependant), they match a lot more colours than black so are much more versatile & therefore you will get much more wear out of whatever you choose!
Also, forget 'trendy'. Go for what style works best for you & gives you the best shape & disguises your 'bad bits'. A cheap 'trendy' suit will age very, very badly & will give totally the wrong impression at interviews.
Hope this is of some help! & good luck with the jobs!

My daughter looks grim and exhausted in black. She is a great fan of dark navy instead, which is hardly ever a fashion colour, but is around at the moment, so you might just find a bargain before it disappears again for a decade.
I'd try an M&S outlet, as they definitely had women's tailoring in the recent sale. I don't know how long it takes for stuff to get from store to outlet.
Or George at Asda, where my husband recently bought a washable suit for a brilliant price.
Good luck! My daughter's navy suit was definitely lucky for her.0 -
next outlets worked for me too.... theres a massive 1 in leeds quite near the train station which is where i go n theres 1 in castleford freeport0

I'm fairly tall & I could never beat Dorothy Perkins for suit separates (not the best material in the world but a decent cut & machine washable, which can save a hell of a lot on dry-cleaning bills if you're going to be wearing it regularly.)
Or if you can be bothered to trawl, I've had a few good reasonably classic past season bargains from TK Maxx before now...
HTH!
Lucy.
(P.S. - Would also echo George at Asda - have never bought a suit from them personally, but if the current standard & pricing of their casual wear is anything to go by, you'll be onto a winner!)

If you are near London, there is a fantastic suit stall near the Edgware Rd end of Church Street market, on Saturdays. I've had a classic black skirt suit and pinstripe suit from them recently for the grand price of £35 each. They look and feel (fabric, I mean) as if they cost at least £100 each. They also sell trouser suits.
I would ignore the people advising against black - black suits are the biz for interviews.
Tesco's had a reasonable looking pinstripe suit in their collection last season - I have seen a few still around recently.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
