The Works (bargain books and stationery) seems on particularly good form. Today I bought Hilary Mantel's Beyond Black in hardback for £3.99; I paid almost twice that for it in paperback from amazon a couple of weeks ago.
There were a lot of current children's books too.

For anyone within reach of Notts, I'm about to post on the local shopping board under the title of Notts Book Wholesaler.
