Today at 10:10am I was declared bankrupt. Number 293 of 2009, it was a worrying night sleep before the day came, but i worried about nothing.
I had submitted a few posts onto this website in reference to bankruptcy and was advised to contact CCCS.The CCCS where a huge help and recommended bankruptcy to me and advised me on ways to save the bankruptcy fee's up.
I brought to court: 3 copies of the papers (6.27 and 6.28), £360 fee, other fee waiver letter (from JS) and ID (which i didn't need)
My appointment was set for 09:15am and I arrived at 09:10am, after being given the wrong directions by reception, i was directed into a small interview room. From here a lovely receptionist checked all my paper work, took the payment (£360), checked my fee waiver letter and asked me too swear on oath, after a 45 minute appointment with the receptionist i was directed upstairs to wait for a judge.
After 10 minutes of waiting and no appearance in front of the judge i was directed back to the small interview room, where the receptionist informed me that at 10:10am the judged declared me bankrupt.
After a converstation on the phone with the OR, i was informed that the OR will be in contact via post and I was free to leave court.
The start of my journey was scary but I am now at the beginning of my bankruptcy journey and will update you in due course.
