My Lasagne is always chewy! Help!

I would like to make 'proper' lasagne, just the once though
My lasagne is always quite sloppy if eaten straight away. I've found by cooking it one night and then re-heating the next it is much firmer and the flavours have had chance to develop - far nicer!
