Hi, I was declared bankrupt on 18/08/2008 so my year is nearly up. When am I likely to hear from the OR again ? Do people sometimes hear nothing, apart from the first interview, and then just check the Insolvency website?
I don't have an IPA but I suppose they might try to set one up at the last minute. Thanks for any help received.

well you aanswered your own question really....most people dont ever hear from the OR again so yep its just a case of looking at the insolvency register & waiting till the status below your name says "discharged..I found out about my discharge this was...the OR did write to inform me nearly a month or so later though....wouldnt worry about the IPA stick to the no news is good news way of thinking...We all die. You probably won't hear a thing now. Your entry on the IS website will change at midnight on 17/8 to 18/8 and that will be that.
If you want a letter to say you are discharged then you can ask the OR to send you one after this date.
Then give it a month or two and look at your Credit Reference Files and check that they have the discharge date and any defaults are marked correctly. There is a sticky on how to do this.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

If you want a letter to say you are discharged then you can ask the OR to send you one after this date. they'll do this for free...or you can get the official court cert for £60 or free if on qualifying benefits
