    Hi Pink & Beer.

No I've been working today but have been busy as usual. This is the only time of day I can call my own really. I'm afraid to say I almost missed my DS parent's night this evening. Was reminded in time, got there & was proud mum! Bless him. Had a bit (!) of wine tonight :o

At least you made the parents night! How are you feeling now?

Gobble up any Granny gives her asap, it won't be long before she's asking, where did my cream egg go?

You have got to post your nettle soup recipe on Old Style, I posted mine a couple of days ago but I'd love to try yours.
I was going to use yours :rotfl: didn't realise it was yours though, thats not the reason I said it
Read it and it reminded me to make it. Only ever used them for tea before, but I've found a mint growing in the garden that makes an unbelieveably nice tea last year, so I'll use that instead this year. Its so sweet. :)

well I've never made mint tea, so I'll borrow your idea and you can borrow mine :D

Do you just pour boiling water on the mint leaves?
  • At least you made the parents night! How are you feeling now?

My dad's really ill. He fancied a bit of cod for tea tonight (he's not been eating). I went for some from Asda, but as my mum was taking some of the bones out 6 large pink live worms came out of the fish  No tea for my mum or dad then this evening.

I'm feeling a bit low actually this evening. I've had too much to drink, but today's another day!!

    Oh Westy,

I didn't know your Dad was ill. I'm sorry. As you've said tomorrow is another day and you have done so well so far. Don't be too hard on yourself.....it sounds like you have every reason to feel low right now.

No, you can do that, but I dry the leaves in the sun, en masse and save it in big pots, have a massacre of the mint in a while. Ran out of it a couple of months ago and I've really missed it, the bought ones are terrible compared to mine. Its only this one type of mint that makes this lovely tea, other types I've tried haven't been so nice, seems to be better with the smooth leaved types. I can't tell you what type of mint it is, because it was here when we moved in.

Westy, sorry you are feeling low, that story about the fish is horrifying, glad I haven't eaten fish tonight!
Hope you will take it back?
Stop drinking now if you can and relax by moaning at me or something :D

I've taken it back this evening& got money back, £5 on card & was offered some more cod. This was politely refused & replaced with £15 worth of sirloin steak instead.
Just poured last drink out, honest. OH in bed.
