no, actually 57.4133858567 bottles including the 8 extra points.

That will cost you £464, less if you use a cashback credit card.

Make sure there are flights available first.
  • The chance of getting that many bottle has to be zero. I couldn't even get one on Sunday as they were all sold out.

    Thanks all.

I worked it out to 291 but got confused to the actual cost.

I'm sure there are flights for around £500 to Hong Kong

So whats the point of Airmiles? In your experiences can you get any value of of converting CC points to Airmiles??

Loyalty in theory. I have been receiving them since Airmiles launched and the offers get progressively worse. I've never redeemed any as what they buy seems to massively overpriced.

have you got any CC vouchers OP? Having read parts of the other thread, I believe you can trade in, say £50 of points into £100 worth of perfume vouchers so if you had a substantial amount in non-redeemed points, that £460 ish figure would be reduced. However, as you say, you can probably get flights for near that anyway so not much, if any, advantage

Yeah got around £90 of cc vouchers.

I'm not sure its worth trading £50 for £100 worth perfume vouchers - surely it would make sense to convert £50 into £200 worth in deals???

I'm disappointed that Airmiles via CC are pretty worthless, ahh well it was worth thinking about!!!

That may be true. However, the point is that if you just bought a flight with cash, you wouldn't also enjoy those 58 bottles of wine.

So, if you weren't specifically buying those bottles of wine to gain your flight but instead were steadily collecting Clubcard points as you bought your normal shopping, you wouldn't spend any extra money, would enjoy all the food, drink and other Tesco products you buy, then get a free flight.

We initially got a double airmiles offer with our CC points, which was brilliant value. sadly they are still waiting for us to jet away somewhere.
