Hi All!
Just a quick update, the wedding went fantastically well, we had an absolutely amazing day and everyone really enjoyed themselves. By the end of the night my face ached from smiling so much! Weather was scorching, at times I was uncomfortable in my heavy dress, in the end I ended up taking off my basque and petticoat to cool down!
No major last minute hitches, my biggest worry was how the reception venue would look like as I wasnt going to see it until we got there after the wedding and I was stressing over nothing, it looked amazing!
Slightly disappointed that out of the 50 CDs that people took to put their photos on, only 1 has been returned, but people have put loads on Facebook so will just save them from there (my dad has already done a load of them). Pick up the DVD with the official photos on tomorrow, can't wait!
On the gift front, I have always been quite vocal in the debate about whether to ask for cash, we asked for nothing and most people ended up giving us money or vouchers, I was astounded at peoples generosity and never in a million years expected to get what we did!
Next step is getting thank you cards out, and getting some unused stuff on ebay, seached for ages for a nice guest book, spent a fortune on it and then forgot to take it! Same with cake bags, expensive, no one used them, so hoping to recoup some cash on stuff like that.
