Buying into an existing mortgage

Hi,

I have just moved home after qualifying as a doctor. I am going to be staying at home for the next two years while I do my foundation jobs.

As I will be paying rent, we were wondering if it is possible to buy into an already existing mortgage that has only a few years left to run.

Advice from anyone who has done anything like this or who has any more information or ideas about how to do this would be great.

Thanks

Never heard of such a thing.
A mortgage is specific to a certain person, and cannot be sold on.

Are you getting confused with buying an endowment policy ( which is coming up to maturity) off of someone ?
