Hey, I wanna buy a digital camera, budget of around £100.
What will you use it for??
I would like it to, if possible, cover my "point n shoot" holiday snaps and be good for close up photographs (I would like to take pictures of textures i.e wood/concrete and be able to use them on the computer for stuff). Images for the close ups will be used on the web so its not being blown up huge.
A guy in Jessops reccommended a FujiFilm Finepix J210W (I cant post links, if you just google J210W its the first result)
But there are a ton of cameras around my price range, and with such a huge selection and not really knowing what is good and whats not, I could use some advice! (I searched for other DCamera posts but theres so many and everyones got their own personal preferences, and things are changing every day it made sense to post a new one.. if this is already answered I do apologise for my lack of "Searching Abilities!!!)
Help!
Thanks

I bought the Fuji Finepix S5800 just over a year ago for £89 from Amazon and it's a great camera for point n shoot but also when I get to the stage of doing more complicated things. It looks like it's shot up in price for some reason but you still might be able to find it for under £100.0

Olympus do great cameras and are well worth the money. My last Mju-300 I got in 2005 has lasted me right up unti labout 3 weeks ago, when it came a cropper when I came off my dirtbike at about 40mph while green laning. The camera actually saved my ankle from being speared by the handlebar, which I thank it for.
Previously, it had withstood falling out the car window at 30mph, falling out my pocket of my bike jacket at various speeds onto a plethora of surfaces.
Waterproof, splashproof, excellent zoom and crystal screen, which never broke. Even now, I hasten to add.
I have just bought a Mju 1040 for the bargain price Of £120 from castle cameras
It's a great camera.0 -
my daughter bought a sony for £120 and was really disappointed - don't get me wrong the camera's ok but to charge it you have to take the battery out:mad: its only a small issue but its really annoying us so much we're going to buy a fuji which is what we've had before cos it has a charges similar to a mobile phone
some people say well, what;s the big deal but you just wanna plug your camera in to charge and not to have to dismantle it first.0 -
I have to take the AA's out of my Fuji to charge0

I have to take my batteries out to charge
Didn't know you can get a camera that you charge up without removing batteriesThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0
