I haven't really asked but I do think priorities came into it somewhere - I know they did with his most recent relationship. I think although he says the marriage split was mutual, something happened that he is still angry about too, he veers between saying how amicable everything is, to sounding quite bitter at times.

If I knew him a bit better, I would say something, but he's under so much pressure that I think if I add any more, he will either crack, or just finish things, so I think patience is the only way to deal with it at the moment.

It's hard though because I really like him, and I could seriously fall for him, but I'm trying hard not to, because I don't think it will work out. *sigh*

I'm glad I know he has "kids" as opposed to just one or I'd think you were dating my DS's dad! He is work obsessed and a great dad to DS but any female is third on the list. IMO - The longer you leave it without saying anything the more he thinks you are accepting of the situtation.

A male friend of mine said to me yesterday 'Jo, sorry babe, but you are truly sh*t at choosing blokes'. :rotfl:

  • I have a radical idea Buffy,

    MOOOOVE OOOOUUT!

seriously though-you cannot change a person, you can only change how you react to them and how you deal with them...

Yeah, i was looking at a mobile home that was linked on some post yesterday *i'd like to live by the sea* but cannot afford it until I am debt free and that is looking further and further away at the moment.

I just have to not react, in loads of ways its better then it was. I must remember change comes slowly.

    Well done Sally! :T

Skinty, Stu was like that, his main priority was work, followed by sleep, followed by his Mum and his sister, followed by his friends, followed eventually by me and the kids. I promised myself I would never let myself be in that position again, so eventually I will have to say something I suppose.

and Snags - my mates tell me that all time! I have been known to be used on girlie nights out - buffy which one do you fancy? - I give my answer and then everyone resolves not to go near him and keep me away too!

:rotfl: Ohhhh no, lol, he thinks I just need lots and lots of sex, and should forget about having a relationship at all! Bored of that now... :rotfl:

Buffy that's funny! I should start purposely avoiding anyone I find even remotely attractive because they are inevitably bad for me!

Give him your requirements and get him to find someone. That'll keep him quiet...
