Hello all you lovely lovely people :hello:
I've just finished a spot of cleaning and have noticed I've almost run out of the bathroom cleaning mousse I usually use. Now being new to MSE and starting to learn the OS ways, I was hoping some of you lovely people can give me some ideas of what I can use as alternatives to that will not only save me money but be a bit kinder to the environment aswell as my OH's asthma?
I am one of the suckers gets the flash wipes/anti-bac sprays/special oven cleaner/ kitchen spray with bleach/seperate bathroom cleaner etc... and I know deep down they all do pretty much the same thing but I am a bit of a clean freak and get completely sucked in by them! I have plenty of trigger bottles under my kitchen sink so will happily re-fill them with your lovely OS concuctions once they've all reached the end of their little lives... I just need to know what to fill them with??!!
Thank you all so much
LG xx

Try here for starters
There are lots of ideas, but in general most people seem to either go down the stardrops for everything route, or vinegar, soda crystals, soap & elbow grease!
One thing I do is buy cotton dishcloths rather than disposable ones, and wash them when I'm running the WM or DW through a cleaning cycle. I'm sure it has saved me loads over time! Otherwise I'm in the vinegar/soda crystals/bicarb/borax/soapnuts/salt/elbow grease camp0 -
Stardrops stardrops stardrops stardrops stardrops stardrops......0

Don't worry - it took me ages to find them! You can use stardrops for anything (dish and clothes washing included) - cleans the bathroom and kitchen really well - is about 60p (though probably gone up since I last stocked up. Usually found in places like Savers or Bodycare but I think some supermarkets still do them. It's a yellow liquid in a clear bottle like washing up liquid.0

Now, my newbie-ness is going to shine through and I'm sure I'm going to get pelted with rotten tomato's for asking, but... What is Stardrops? (as I run and hide behind the sofa)
